The European Road Assessment Programme (EuroRAP) has appointed Lina Konstantinopoulou Secretary General in Brussels.

Previously, she worked for more than 10 years in senior management positions at the European Association of Automotive Suppliers (CLEPA) and ERTICO – ITS Europe.  She has been involved in the management of various multi-stakeholder platforms, innovation and policy activities as well as a wide range of European transport and ICT research projects.

EuroRAP chair and Director of International Public Affairs of the Royal Dutch Touring Club (ANWB), Ferry Smith, said: “The Board recognises Lina’s excellent track record of leadership, expertise and experience in this sector. We believe she will make a major contribution over the years ahead in road safety assessment in Europe and at the same time strengthen design and operation of ‘roads that cars can read’ towards the vision of Cooperative, Connected, Automated and Autonomous Mobility’’.

Commenting on her appointment, Lina said: “I look forward to joining the EuroRAP team and working with them. EuroRAP aims to reduce death and serious injury through a programme of systematic assessment of risk, identifying the major shortcomings that can be addressed by practical road improvement measures.  “Through its partnerships with those responsible for a safe road system – civil society, motoring organisations, vehicle manufacturers and road authorities – we are actively promoting a Europe Free of High Risk Roads.”

Mrs Konstantinopoulou holds a certificate on Artificial Intelligence and Autonomous driving by MIT Sloan School of Management and the MIT Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL) with accompanied Bachelor Studies in European Economics and Masters in International Trade.
