This session summarizes the global road safety context, who iRAP is and what we do, and how to use the ViDA Star Rating Demonstrator.
This session is a pre-requisite to complete any further iRAP training.

This session covers the benefits of developing a local programme, the key elements for impact, steps to action and case studies of success.
It is also recommended that you undertake the Planning and Procuring an iRAP project session.

This session is for those who want to plan, organise and execute an iRAP assessment or other iRAP-related project.
It is also recommended that you attend the Establishing and Developing an iRAP Programme in Your Country or Region session.

This course teaches the basics for Road Assessment Processes under the iRAP Methodology. By taking this training, students will build knowledge about infrastructure risk and develop the skills needed to perform iRAP assessments.
The course includes 4 x 1-hour modules plus assignments: Survey, Coding, Star Rating Introduction and Fatality Estimation and Investment Plans.
Cost: USD300 per person.

The SR4D tool empowers designers and road engineers to assess the road safety of a design and improve its safety star rating before the implementation of civil works. It enables the Star Rating Methodology to be streamlined into the road design process.
The course includes 4 x 1-hour modules plus assignments; Introduction to SR4D and Creating Star Ratings, Creating Design Star Ratings, Estimating the impact on fatalities and serious injuries, and Quality Assurance and Reporting.

The updated Star Rating for Schools (SR4S) online course, developed by iRAP with support from Millennium Challenge Corporation, is now available. The course is designed for professionals interested in conducting school infrastructure assessments using SR4S tools (SR4S assessment tool and Youth Engagement App).
The course includes 3 x 1-hour modules plus assignments

Participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of CycleRAP, equipping them with a solid foundation in how the tool can be effectively used to improve cycling safety. They will have access to manuals, tutorials, and in-depth resources that provide a detailed understanding of CycleRAP’s functionality, as well as guidance on how to structure and implement CycleRAP projects.

iRAP offers an advanced interactive online course designed to build practical skills for conducting Star Rating road assessments. The course covers the coding manual and principles, guided coding of a road segment, coding assignments with reviews, quality assurance tips, and a live Q&A component.
Recorded from live webinar sessions held in February 2020, the course is delivered in two parts and includes pre-reading materials, 60‑minute videos, presentations, and assignments. A certificate is awarded upon successful completion of all assignments.

Participants are expected to have prior coding experience.

Road attribute coding is at the heart of an iRAP project. To ensure the quality and accuracy of iRAP road attribute coding, coders will require training and practice. The purpose of these iRAP Road Attribute coding exercises is to allow coders to practice coding while they are not performing a real project.
This 10 hour course consists of 5 assignments to code 10 images each. Attendees will receive feedback and will be able to ask questions to our assessors during the course. (Maximum 3 month period)
Prerequisite: Star Rating Essentials course
Cost: USD100 (iRAP activity accredited suppliers – FREE)
This two-part online course will teach participants how the iRAP software, ViDA, can be used to plan infrastructure and speed management improvements that will achieve a star rating target for all road users.

Preferred: Completion of Star Ratings for Designs and Building Your Coding Skills courses
