Road attribute coding is at the heart of an iRAP project. The road attribute coding uses geo-referenced images collected during a survey or road designs to record road attributes for each 100m segment of road. This coding data is then combined with other supporting data and uploaded in ViDA to produce Star Ratings, Safer Roads Investment Plans and, ultimately promote the implementation of road safety countermeasures that can save lives.

To ensure the quality and accuracy of iRAP road attribute coding, coders will require training and practice.

The purpose of these iRAP Road Attribute coding exercises is to allow coders to practice coding while they are not performing a real project.

This course consists of 5 assignments to code 10 images each. Attendees will receive feedback and will be able to ask questions to our assessors during the course.

Certificates will be issued upon successful completion of the assignments.
