Friday 15 March 2019: UN  Secretary General Special Envoy  for Road Safety, Jean Todt sat down with Australia’s leading Road Safety Experts in Melbourne during his visit to Melbourne and called for  Australian Political Leadership to save lives on roads. 

Local representatives including iRAP’s Chair, Gary Liddle and CEO, Rob McInerney and TAC CEO Joe Calafiore and Global NCAP Chair/President ACRS Lauchlan McIntosh met with UN Secretary General Special Envoy for Road Safety, Jean Todt at the Melbourne Museum’s unique Road to Zero Education Complex.

Jean Todt was impressed with the passion in Australia to address road fatalities and injuries, both nationally and then to take that challenge and help other countries shape similar success. They discussed the recent Australian Inquiry recommendations that set the course for a step-change in National Road Safety Leadership.
