iRAP Asia Pacific Workshop

Participants from 16 countries took part in the second annual iRAP Asia Pacific Workshop in Singapore.

Held in conjunction with Global Road Safety Partnership (GRSP) Asia Road Safety Summit, the workshop drew together road safety professionals from motoring clubs, road authorities, research institutes and industry in Bangladesh, Cambodia, China, India, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Australia, Canada, England, Germany and the United States.

The workshop recognised the outstanding achievements of iRAP Vietnam, a partnership of the Ministry of Transport, Vietnam Road Administration, Transport Development and Strategy Institute, and the Institute of Transport Science and Technology by presenting them with the iRAP Star Performer Award.

To date, iRAP Vietnam has assessed 3,800km of highway and a countermeasure programme is currently being generated. The award was previously won by iRAP Malaysia.
